I'm just a dude with a camera (or two) and I like taking pictures.
I started out with a free DLSR from a coworker. After neglecting it for a bit and taking it to Korea, I decided to grab a Canon R7 and started shooting with more intention. When my nephews got into sports, I’d bring the camera along and take photos to share with the family.
Once my daughters started playing soccer, I decided to invest a little more, got hooked, and started shooting for whoever would let me.
I have a theory that the majority of photographers didn't actually like birds until they got a camera. Birds are an interesting and challenging subject in photography. Don't get me wrong, birds are cool, but photographing people and sports is far more compelling.
